Bird Watching<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Khao Sok is home to a wide diversity of birds, including many rare and unusual species. This tour will open your eyes to the unbelievable variety of avian life high above you! All ages will enjoy this excursion which will likely include a few primate sightings as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the time of year, and what kind of birds you want to see, the experienced guide will take you to the jungle, the river, the cane break forest, or open fields. They will explain bird behaviour as well as familiarise you with each of their unique calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visible species depend on which season the tour is taken. In the dry season (November to April) the birds tend to consolidate themselves, while in the monsoon season (April to November) the birds spread out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depart<\/strong>: 7am. (Take away breakfast can be pre-ordered the night before.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration<\/strong> : half-day (3 hours) and full day (5-6 hours) trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note<\/strong>: The bird watching tour allows you to see more species of birds, we cannot guarantee that you will see a specific bird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To bring and wear<\/strong>: Binoculars, hat, camera, insect repellent and sun block. Camouflage clothing or sandy coloured outdoor clothing and closed shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included<\/strong>: Expert bird watching guide, pre trip bird information from your guide and drinking water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important: Between August and October things are usually very wet and birding is very difficult, particularly in the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WILDLIFE OVERNIGHT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If Wildlife spotting and nature is what you are after, then you have cone to the right place. This trip takes you deeper to the far reaches of the lake. Board your long tail boat and take a 1.5 hour journey to the very heart of the jungle with limestone cliffs towering above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following lunch, journey with your guide to the remote late inlets of Klong Saeng Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to many animals, for wild animal spotting. Fingers crossed for seeing some of these animals: elephant, samba deer, sun bear, gibbons, gaur, etc. After an exciting day, enjoy a delicious local Thai meal at your rafthouse. Fall asleep to the sound of nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start the following day with an early morning safari by boat with your guide. Morning times are very special as you could hear gibbons call penetrating the morning mist. Then you have time to kayak. Or rest until 9:00 a.m. Return to the pier to continue to the village for lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Departure<\/strong>: 10.30am. Return 1 pm of the following day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included<\/strong>: Transfer, shared accommodation (2 or 3 people per room), local English speaking guide, meals (2L, 1D, 1B), drinking water, snacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Bring<\/strong>: Binoculars, walking shoes, swim suit, sunscreen, hat, mosquito repellent, camera, flip flops, long sleeve shirt and pants for cooling nights (~July-December), rain jacket, flashlight, first aid kit, dry bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTES: Prices of the trip and condition of the accoummodation are varies based on your choice of accommodation levels.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BASIC WILDLIFE EXPLORER TRIP<\/strong>: Accommodation is BASIC* – mattresses on floor of your bamboo rafthouse, generator power available only in the evening, simple shared washroom facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DELUXE WILDLIFE EXPLORER TRIP: Accommodation – wooden rafthouse equipped with air condition, en suite bathroom, electricity from 6 PM – 8 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
